Despite the original poster's anger at how stupid "other" people are, this is actually really simple to explain. Indeed, it's such a terrible misreading of the data, I'm not sure why the poster bragged about "checking the data", if they're so incapable of understanding it.

What they are conveniently ignoring, is that of all people who die of covid-19, the proportion who are fully vaccinated is a fraction of the proportion who are unvaccinated, even though the overwhelming proportion of the population is now vaccinated.

For example, in NSW between 16 June and 18 October there were 479 deaths from covid. Only 61 of these deaths were among the fully vaccinated, with the majority of these deaths being people aged over 70 with otherwise poor health. This is despite vaccination rates approaching (and eventually passing) 80% during that time - if vaccination "caused" death, as suggested, then far, far more vaccination people should have been hospitalised and died - indeed, the proportions should have been the other way around.

If you are fully vaccinated, you are far less likely to have severe symptoms and require hospitalisation than someone who is not vaccinated - less severe symptoms and lower rates of hospitalisation mean you are far less likely to die than someone who is not vaccinated.
