The vaccines used in Australia are not experimental they have all passed phase 3 trials.
The majority of people in Australia will get vaccinated it is not virtue signaling it having regard for their fellow Australian's and doing something positive about the spread of covid, rather than the minority digging in shifting positions trying to justify their anti establishment and anti vac stance.
The more positive among us who have a bit of get up and go and successful in their lives will get the vaccine and get on with life while the minority will maintain the rage and still believe Trump had the election stolen,the moon landing was staged and Elvis is still alive.

A vaccine that only reduces transmission but does not stop infection and transmission will not give herd immunity.

The upside would be I imagine that after your infection with the virus and the vaccine reducing your symptoms that your natural immunity would kick in.
I expect that the same will happen for me when/if I get the virus and treat it I will also have natural immunity.
