It's an interesting point. However, I maintain that we live (and trade) in quite different times now than back then. That was after the end of the dot-com boom and everyone were predicting bio-tech to be the next boom.

Perhaps people are a little more wary now?

I guess none of us can predict the future. However, I think that this time we may be looking at a slightly different beast. Of course there will always be traders in there for their quick bucks but a good FDA approval may well (after being duly digested) bring a few more fund managers on board. Consequently, the spike effect may be less pronounced this time around?

Remember also that the Japan approval is due anytime now too.
