I have for some time now subscribed to the theory that we each literally live in a universe of our own design, and whatever we need to sustain that universe is filtered in while everything that undermines our universe is filtered out.

what this would mean is that they literally so inhabit a universe where they are the vigilante seekers of truth and the man is out to get them. We don't have this threat hanging over our own head so we don't experience the paranoia or oppression that they experience.

neither of our universes is more or less real than the other, in the eastern mystical sense we all experience our own illusion.

all one can glean from conversation with these guys is they have opted to experience vigilance in a paranoid and fearful version of reality whereas we have opted for a version where human spirit and ingenuity prevail over all challenges.

neither version is right or wrong. Its just a choice.

we all just have to have patience with each other imo.
