The immune system needs to identify the virus to activate memory cells and release antibodies. By having double dose and possibly boosters the introduced spike proteins reinforce the memory cells currency. The immune system response to infection should be faster and less deleterious than surviving a one time infection.
Vaccination after infection is expected to increase resilience to adverse reactions of future infections.
