If they were so safe why did every country have to indemnify pharmaceutical companies against liability claims before being allowed to purchase their products? I also find it disingenuous that all these GP's and various other medical industry pundits seems to believe that side effects only present themselves within a short time frame after injection. AstraZeneca doesn't take this view....
With 25 companies testing their vaccine candidates on humans and getting ready to immunise hundred millions of people once the products are shown to work, the question of who pays for any claims for damages in case of side effects has been a tricky point in supply negotiations.
