    That’s a little misleading. The age group covered in the article is 25-29 year olds - most of whom would have been sexually active well before the HPV vaccination program started (if they were even vaccinated at all). The cohort to watch are those covered in the graph above (that is, those who were 24 and under in 2018). Someone who’s 29 now was 22 in 2013 - you can see in the graph that infection rates were still high for that age group because most were not vaccinated. I think the key take-home message from the article is that the major problem is women not turning up for Pap smear screening.
