Interesting article Kalenn. I read this article early this morning too. Vale's infrastructure expansion - close proximity to AVB's portfolio - could present a number of operational opportunities for AVB.
In response to this article, I located Port of Ponta da Madeira in Sao Luis (destination) and Serra Sul (Vale), whereby the railway will be constructed between the two locations. Evident below, an existing railway intersects TN. However, more interesting is the exact path of the new railway and available accessibility to AVB's portfolio.
AVB recently announced Vale invited them for discussions regarding TN 'Option Agreement'. Given the circumstances, may AVB seek use of Vale's infrastructure in return for TN? We've all witnessed a 'cashless' transfer previously, could another be forthcoming?
