If vale decide to focus on its existing assets, what can AVB do with a stranded resource?

If AVB retains TN, why pump more money into drilling if there is no certainty Vale will purchase the asset?

And why would they pay more for a larger asset when they can sit there for the next 50 years and wait to scoop it up - it's not like TN is a strategic acquisition Vale must make.
