Vale helmenesh

It is with great sadness that I advise the passing of our dear friend helmenesh.

He was an extraordinary geologist and a wonderful person who only sought to enrich the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
On Hot Copper he provided high class geological interpretations of announcements to many of us armchair geologists who really had no idea what we were talking about.

To all the old crew who were invested in St George from 2012 through the teens in particular please know that he always really enjoyed those times and discussions with you all. Trapper and Sandy, I know you made the effort to visit him and keep in touch with him. I won't name anyone else for fear of leaving someone out - but I know how much you all held him in such high regard.

I have been fortunate to have been able to visit him and talk to him multiple times a week over the last 4 years - and was fortunate to be able to pay my last respects at his funeral today.

It's so hard for me to type this as the tears are streaming down my face and the screen is blurred.
He was a wonderful friend.

May you rest in peace our dear friend.
