Thanks for raising this discussion point.
Following your post I looked back at the two presentation slides that you quoted. I was trying to assess the second of those for scale. As total depth is 2826m (absolute) and the 'kick' occurred at 2568m (absolute) we have a remaining depth of 258m (relative). Presuming that Nen/eni have estimated that total depth is co-incident with the top of the fifth target (I.e. 2826m), then if we can assume that this cross-section is correct then there are a couple of things we can deduce:
1) the depth from top of target 4 to top of target 5 is approx 250m
2) target 4 would appear to have a depth of approximately 200m
3) if this vertical scale also applies horizontally, it appears to stretch for many kilometers
4) targets 1, 2 and 3 are small in comparison to targets 4 and 5
5) the presentation slide does not show the full vertical extent of the drill (otherwise the vertical depth of target 4 alone appears to be much greater than 250m and target 5 is at an absolute depth of much greater than 2826m)
The key message for me is that while we will get some gas quality info from the target 1, 2 and 3 wireline data, the volume we're looking for will come from targets 4 and 5.
