Here's some research for you:
http://www.exxonmobil.com.au/Australia-English/PA/about_what_gipps_pipeline.aspx
I like this bit:
"It is intended that the replacement pipeline will be constructed adjacent to the existing pipeline..."
Now what will they do with the existing pipeline I wonder???
http://www.exxonmobil.com.au/Australia-English/PA/Files/1pipeline_about.pdf
Oh..this is what they will do with it:
"Esso will clean and leave the existing pipeline in-situ"
So no dismantling of the existing pipeline.
Hmmm...
Now to Google Maps and check out Longford first and then track back to Long Island Point...that's near Hastings to help you out.
Actually, I'll make it easy for you, just go to Page 6 of here:
http://www.exxonmobil.com.au/Australia-English/PA/Files/pipeline_consultation_plan.pdf
That's a pretty tasty picture.
Now look at KP80 on that Esso pipeline map...that convergence of 2 rivers (La Trobe and Tanjil Rivers) is just above Moe when you overlay it on Google Maps.
Hmmm...now who would have a BC tenement in that area???

Whoa....check out EL 5210 map picture - look at Google maps of Moe and then come back to the Esso pipeline map.
So, existing pipeline will become replaced but not dismantled running very close to or maybe through EL 5210 where MNM have recently ann'ed a deal for 289 million tonnes of JORCed BC plus a few hundred million more tonnes in return for a royalty of 80c per tonne of "clean coal" sold.
Forget the rail people...as I have surmised and always stated here...BC CHTD will be "pipelined" out of LV.
As BR says, "DYOR"
Cheers K
