Why?
Here are some potential reasons. Could be more.
- We could believe in the efficient market hypothesis and thus the valuation is way off.
- (big) Buyers are happy to let / encourage the SP hang around low levels or drift south as they are not feeling rushed.
- (big) Sellers closing/reducing a position slowly for whatever reasons. Volume by price over years shows that a decent Volume with lower average could feasibly be held.
