I'd agree if the revenue structure was more user based, but it's squewed towards trade volume. A year to date value of trade volume, as well as a percentage of the same value compared to previous year would be a relatively easy metric that shows real growth as compared to growth in user numbers and accounts for the various different traders from passive through to day traders.
