SYDNEY (Dow Jones)--Australia's Realestate.com.au Ltd. (REA.AU) said Thursday
independent experts value its stock at up to A$2.73 and deem the A$2.00 per
share takeover bid by News Corp. (NWS) unfair.

Lodging its target's statement, Realestate.com.au repeated its earlier
rejection of the News Corp. bid that was announced at the start of the month.

"Lonergan Edwards & Associates, the independent expert, says the offer is
neither fair nor reasonable and has valued realestate.com.au at between A$2.48
and A$2.73 per share," Realestate.com.au said in a statement.

Around 0530 GMT, shares in the on-line realestate company were at A$2.30, up
2.2%. Shares in News Corp. were at A$22.60, down 1.7%.
