It not these pieces of paper that make you the money! Whilst I have a degree & 2 post graduate diplomas & part MBA, largely believe they are a waste of time. Unfortunately most of the people who design & teach these courses haven't got a clue when it comes to making money. Trying studying Portfolio Management/theory, they go on about active versus passive approach, alphas,betas,WACC & diversification rubbish. Probably explains why so few good fund managers in Australia. Interestingly most of the best fund managers have come through a straight accounting background & eventually found themselves working under good old fashion fund managers in the 70's & 80s. (refer good read "Markets of the market", 2 editions)
