    It would depend on the circumstances.

    How much tax (what rate of tax), did you have to pay for your quick profit?

    Consider my position for a moment. I now held for more than 12 months and even if I decide to take whats on offer in the market today, with the Capital Gains Tax Relief Provision, I am quite sure that I would clear, percentage wise, more money than you.

    There are traders who take the continuous risk and the quick ins and out approach, and there are long term investors who are quite happy to leave the money there for the long term and see what will unfold. Some of these long term investors are quite happy to seat there, watch their capital grow slowly, and wait to get those beautifull fully franked dividends, at the rate of 30%. For most people investors, these dividends are totally tax free.

    Food for thoughts and of course, to each his own.
