I would like to start a discussion about PPK, and for those more knowledgeable, to give some historical context if the market is currently ascribing the lowest value for PPK’s businesses now since the last say, 2 years.
In September 2021, At a share price of ~$20 and a market cap of ~1.8 billion (including the still embedded LIS float fully valued at 544m) the market ascribed the value of the rest of PPKs businesses at ~1.26 billion. Today, PPK’s market cap is ~830m and the current LIS market cap is ~900m ( with ~50% of LIS still held by PPK at ~450m dollars value), the market is currently ascribing ~380m dollars of value to the rest of PPK’s businesses.
My question is; How is it that a business that is maturing and realising it’s listed potential is now being revalued DOWNWARDS by the market by some 60% - 70%?
