Totally agree Calc. There are two scenarios here.

1. He is telling the truth in his cryptic way that he did in fact purchase options, which as you said above is a dog act given he has downramped the stock to the hilt and is picking up options of those sellers that may have been scared into buying by his words. There are many words for someone that derives gain from this sort of scenario.

If that is not the case then...

2. He has implied (after the licence was awarded) that he purchased shares to stop himself looking like a massive fool for all of his previous negativity. Anyone can claim they purchased options on Friday, how would anyone prove they didn't? I have serious doubt as to his claim, but if I am wrong, lets go back to point 1 above..

So he is either lying about purchasing on Friday or he has purchased low on the back of a mountain of negative information he posted that he doesn't believe himself.
