Absolutely agree squaremile, I'm in this for both the altruistic as well as financial rewards. That's the great thing about biotech and one of the reasons I have spent my whole career working in the industry - your job has a greater purpose than just making a living. My comment above is not my philosophy, I was simply pointing out in response to another post that when a technology is shelved it is not necessarily destructive to shareholder value from the financial perspective. It would be a travesty to see useful technology shelved but, thankfully, I don't think that really happens much any more.
