As predicted, here comes Honda, and all the big players will soon be making hay. Yadea (the leading E2V manufacturer) just announced 1st-half 2021 sales growth of 36.5% with 3.07m units sold. +106% on 2019 ! They are the biggest e-scooter player for now, and interestingly their 5th plant was opened outside China in 2019 (in Vietnam) with 200,000 capacity, which will have expanded to 500,000 by next year. That's real growth and expansion. All of which makes VMT look like a bit of a growth sloth, but reminds us of the market opportunity. Sigh ! 2000.
