    Yes, he has done a good job, however when is enough enough.

    My comment apply to a huge number of companies, but success is a team effort. I'd prefer to see a strong top team well rewarded, rather than all the rewards being conferred on one superstar.

    Imho it is the same as in any more humble work group, you expect the team leader to get paid more than his/her direct reports. But how much more? Imho something like 20 to 50% more seems reasonable to me.

    Spend the extra attracting/retaining really strong no.2,3 and 4.

    I am happy to see the management team well rewarded, but not sure that seeing the CEO superwell rewarded covers that issue?
