foxoff, they need to writedown a lot more of that NTA... unfortunately for BSL by the time you arrive at a fair market price for the current assets, it's likely to be negative... hence the company is nearing or already bankrupt.
MF global I think had an NTA backing of $5 per share as at 30 september before it's collapse. The NTA is only reliable for components that have a liquid market for it, eg. cash, inventories, equity.
I am short on the stock and have been for a long time.
