they target 5-700k per day, the reason they put in 700k a week is that when they sell advertising it is on a weekly and monthly basis, not daily.
and he disagrees with the figures of 110k commuters per day, and they obviously have been talking to people who should know,. and who says it will be Flinders street only, there are a host of stations in the loop, and 10% users is very much understated.
look as I understand it once you have signed up initially every time you enter an area covered by their free WiFi it will give them a message saying so, all you need to do is click accept. simple as that, so why would anyone knock that back, in a recent survey 70% of people wanted free WiFi there,
now also who says you need a phone to see advertising, watch this space.
at present some publications charge advertisers a lot of money and this has a publication of 26k
and as Bassy said they can offer age, gender advertising,m why is this important,
well at present watching t.v. I might see ads for make up and women's clothes, a waste to me, but with their ads people can get ads that are more directed or useful to me, so I might get repco ads, mens clothing etc. it is much more valuable to an adverser.
There will be no free ads on WiFi,
the infrastructure I believe is already in place, in fact it could start tomorrow as far as Netbay and GCN are concerned.
I believe advertising agencies are very excited about this and this, unlike UCTV will hit the ground running, and fast.
as for valuation, yes it has to go to ASX as part of the memorandum, but that should not stop GCN from reporting on this before it goes to shareholders.
so let me ask this, if say the valuation came out at around 45 cents, what would or should GCN be trading at, given a valuation on P1 will also mean that value to GCN, some might say they have to prove this, what then if a cornerstone investor paid actual money for these shares, would that convince anyone, seeing they are putting up real money.
and then what if GCN announced the WiFi with some advertisers already.
now of course GCN wont go from 2 to 20 or 40 in a day, but would it still be at 2 cents, and would you think it would track higher over a period.
Don;t worry about the roll out on WiFi, as someone posted there is someone already been working on this, I reckon they might be finished.
this is about to blow
a TH could see a massive gap up, it is only a matter of when, not if.
