Since the bulk of these share price valuations or forecasts for the oxycodone patch are based on penetration of the United States market, it is pointless to talk about a "subsidised list" or any such thing since that is not existent in the US.
In the US, once a drug or a delivery method and a drug is approved by the FDA for a certain indication, then physicians are free to prescribe it for that indication and it will be covered by virtually all medical/health insurance programs including government funded ones, such as Medicare (the US government program for elderly).
The FDA will readily approve, as this patch is extremely resistant to any kind of abuse.
Doctors will be keen to prescribe the patch in preference to oral oxycodone due to better patient compliance, lower risk of abuse, delayed onset of tolerance, and reduction of problems with breakthrough pain.
Market penetration in the US will be swift and deep. The most important misconception that you need to disabused of it that there is some sort of additional process whereby a "subsidy" is granted in the US. There is no such thing, despite what you may be accustomed to in Australia.
