redlight, as Prime says the differing valuations have most of us bewildered, you guys seem to have a much greater capacity to pour cash into loss making outfits like Nestor. I would guess that out here a company with the track record of Nestor would be in the corporate graveyard long before this.
Maybe one factor in the valuation is that the major Nestor shareholder has about 53% of the company, those people must really be bleeding.
Where abouts in the States are you?
Really interesting to hear your comment on the legislative process over there, as you say the process can be long and drawn out, Ohio is a classic example with that proposed bill only about one sixth of the way through and quite likely to be knocked out at any stage, much as the Texas and Arizona anto RLC bills were defeated.
Some interesting characters in the Nestor camp, if you can, get hold of a book called Serpent On The Rock by Kurt Eichenwald for some interesting reading. 2nd hand only about $2 on Amazon.
Yes speed is a big part of the future, at a guess there would be about 30 Redflex speed systems working in the US, mainly intersection speed and speed vans with the first stand alone fixed speed being the bi-directional mid block one in Scottsdale. A number of states look very positive for speed as well as red light, Arizona already has a fair few speed systems operational but there will be big growth in speed in the next 12 months in Tennessee, New Mexico, Texas, Illinois and more in Arizona.
