I'm, sure there are lies told eg living at last address for 3 years rather than 2yrs 11 mths or $500.00 owing on you credit card when you intend to make a payment next week to bring it down
Important facts such as employment history,savings history, previous repayment histories are easily checkable and are checked.
Brokers know how to use the system but that is not necessarily a bad thing with point scoring of applications by credit providers.
Prior credit histories are easily checked through rating agencies. People who don't pay there bills tend to be repeat offenders. eg If you don't pay a $50.00 Vodafone bill it's not the size of the bill that rings alarm bells it's the attitude that led to this situation
