nickel punters all over hotcopper looking at 50k nickel price expecting their nickel stocks to skyrocket because some nickel shorter got caught with their pants down. It's called demand destruction - you think nickel consumers are suddenly going to pay double what they were paying a few weeks ago? They'll substitute other metals or choose inferior quality steel / batteries / whatever.
