It could be that the stock is delisted on the ASX and listed in the US or via the CDI route. I expect the company will need to do more work around its options taking to account various factors, including market conditions as at the time of the proposed US listing. Bottom line is that it should result in better outcomes for shareholders that hold shares prior to such change.
