There is a very important assumption being made n the valuations that people are using. I assume you are using the floating basket price value being quoted on the Lynas website.
How do we know that the sale contracts are for this value? These contracts were created some time ago when the basket price was much higher. If I was offering something that had previously been known for its uncertainty in supply and I was going to give another party certainty I would want them to pay a premium.
I could be very wrong, what does everyone else think?
