I think that if we have a good half year result, which I am expecting, we may see the shorts disappear from this stock. The shorting worked when there was a view that a panic could starve MQG of funds and trigger insolvency. With the Gov guarantee, this risk has substantially gone, so the shorts may decided that there is too much risk and not enough reward going long.
i personally loaded up on the way down, so if it goes over $30, may do some portfolio balancing
