VERY interesting article on the future of U enrichment in Australia and worldwide in todays Australian. Basically an interview with the former head of marketing at USEC (major US processor of U), who has since moved on to join UX Consulting - the agency that sets the spot uranium price.
In the article she xasts doubt on the likelihood of enrichment plants ever being developed in Australia but singles out the Australian developed Silex Systems laser enrichment technology as being very impressive, with the potential to revolutionise the industry worldwide, and that she beieves that with the help of GE they are "highly likely to succeed"!
Great news to be sure, and all the more believable given the close working relationship USEC and Silex had several years back. ie: this person knows what they are talking about.
