David's a founding member and developed a number of xrf flux processes in use today. (e.g. https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2004065949A1/un).
In regards to remuneration, the company strategy is conservative. There's really not much to do for a CEO of XRF, no promos, debt raisings, capital raisings, refinancings, or ambitious acquisitions (recent ones are all tiny additions, coltide added new products to the core mix, same with scancia (plus removed some competition)). So the role is more a general manager type.
Don't get me started on the CFO, an undergraduate can run a balance sheet like XRF's.
