    There has been a few take overs recently amongst natural gas producers in the USA. Large companies buying up vast reserves and acreage positions. Even with MAE's debt level I think it is highly likely the value of MAE assets would exceed current market cap if they actioned off these assets etc. I would say the assets are worth at least 100 million. MAE has debts of around 65 million if you include debts to other creditors beside the bank. MAE's current market cap is around 10 million so all up there is a figure of around 75 million to consider if your were interested in the assets of MAE. The figure of 100 million might be extremely conservative, and if MAE can get the wells to flow again then you could multiply the asset value many times over.

    I know there are still huge risks involved but these kind of things are very well worth considering before bailing out of MAE.
