Sounds simple but is not as simple as getting on a plane to Dubai to get treatment. Below is part of an email from a Senior Pharmacist at the TGA.

Cvac is undergoing clinical trials at a number of sites around Australia, and it might be possible for the patient to become part of one of these trials if she meets the inclusion criteria. Alternatively, it could be obtained via the Special Access Scheme B (information available on the TGA website at http://www.tga.gov.au/hp/access-sas.htm), which requires that a doctor (usually an Oncologist) in Australia who agrees to treat the patient and then obtains approval for use of the product from TGA, prior to arranging importation/supply of the vaccine. It would be of value initially to discuss these alternatives with the patient's supervising Oncologist to determine if Cvac might be of use, and if so, how it could be obtained or imported.

As Cvac is a very complex product, the treating doctor may also need to seek information from the manufacturer, Prima Biomed, as to whether the company is prepared to supply the drug in Australia outside of the current clinical trial, and how it could be sourced.
