Consolidation? I don’t think so. This is purely manipulation while the take over offers were being fielded. Now there’s one left standing with a tabled offer we are just in limbo until there is word from our board. My bet is we hear from latitude before Humm.
iIf the deal falls over, I can’t see the share price sustaining current levels. Like the other bnpl businesses, I can see a rerate in the downward direction. In my opinion, the best outcome is an increased offer from LFS with a bigger cash proportion. The Mostly scrip deal will not bode well with the overall market, especially as it doesn’t give a clear valuation of the consumer finance arm of the company.
This is my opinion only.
