    Hi blurrt

In 2006 MEO were gearing up to explore two overlapping leads around the Heron 1 prospect with Seahawk 1 to the east and Epanarra 1 to the west.

As seen P2 in this 2006 ASX release.

This article in the Dec 2005 edition of PEX covered the story:

'Methanol Australia hoping to add to regional success

Methanol Australia is gearing up for its first offshore drilling operations planning to drill double target Seahawk-1/Epanarra-1 in NT-P-68 using Stena Clyde following AED Oil's 3+2 Puffin program. A single well drilling to TD 3200m will test two prospects overlaying each other with a slight offset. Epenarra is a large anticlinal structure mapped in the Darwin Fm with aerial closure +1100km2 & estimated (P50) 5.6TCF gas-in-place, while Seahawk is an anticlinal structure in Vee FM (Puffin) sands with estimated (P50) 1.9TCF gas-in-place reserves and oil potential.'

These wells were never drilled and the following year, after 3D seismic studies it was decided to drill two appraisal wells at Heron North (H2) and Heron South (H3)and the option well at Blackwood. Of course, they only had time for H2 and Blackwood.

    Interestingly enough, on P4 of:

    this Oct 2008 ASX release.

Epanarra is still listed as a prospect and Seahawk a lead. If they are explored in time, hopefully they have plenty of gas and it is low in CO2.

In various permit maps such as the NT/P68 Permit Overview. Blackwood East is also shown as a lead, so exploration in NTP/68 is not limited to Heron and Blackwood.
