Hi Adder
I've seen this 97 page document before somewhere - probably posted by you. It is a complex document that covers all manner of future activities in a somewhat cryptic format. Doing the .pdf search on Mission Payload Module essentially turns up 4 pages i.e. p20, 25, 26, 27. However IMO this is only providing glimpses of the $ budget figures, and it is hard to make sense of the grab-bag corners. As an example, on p25 FY 2012 has $10.7M allocated, and FY 2013 has $12.7M allocated. But on the same page Mission Payload Module - Reserves has zero funding allocated for 2012 and 2013, but later the 'reserves' have $9M in 2015 and $5M in 2017. Also there is no indication that these 'particular' amounts would necessarily be heading into MST's bank a/c - actual contractors are not mentioned in the document. I don't see a problem, other than to note that (if we want a clearer picture) we need more information about the overall MPM-NLWS narrative, in a format that is tailored specifically to that system, to capture all potential side rivers trickling in as well, like from munitions or other sub-contractors and stuff. No doubt that will come in good time, and for now I imagine metooaswell may have conceivably been in the ball-park with his higher $50M figure over the life of the MPM program development?
Meanwhile, p30 of the posted budget document confirms (again) the MPM-EMD Contract Award is scheduled for Q2 2012 - of course Q2 starts 'now' in April. This is the contract we have previously discussed we 'hang our hat on'.
Yes if MST wins this contract as some expect - it will alone provide significant (but not overwhelming) cashflows compared to the smell of an oily rag in recent years. However what it WILL DO is change the whole game by establishing MST as a real live defence contractor. Winning a real US defence contract of this scale and importance (non-lethal growth area and all) will add massive credibility (as you say) to the Company. It will also open further side doors everywhere, when previously they were problematic.
Let's just wait and see, but Shucks ... without getting ahead of myself I might even consider a 10 gallon hat myself one day soon.
