I don't understand why EAFD is 50 % zinc.
Yes I understand that electric arc furnaces use scrap steel as part of the feedstock (and that scrap may be galvanized) but surely it would be representative of the steel market at large.
My intuition says that the 50 % is too high.
The lab analysis may state it is a fact but why?
Now baghouse dust may be 50 % zinc (or richer) and it is gathered as a result of precleaning of steel prior to paint coating .
How do the two equate for APG recycling.?
