    I have read that world production of EAF dust is around 5 million tonnes per annum (??). EAF steel production is around 350 Mtpa. Dust generation is around 1.5-2%. That gives about 6 Mtpa.

    Smorgons obviously had 22,000 tonne sitting around waiting to do something with it. Who knows how much is stockpiled around the world???
