    Hi humms

    I think the EAF dust is 50% zinc oxide (it comes off as dust very easily from EAF'd gal steel so makes up a large proportion of the dust). Zinc oxide makes about 40% Zinc metal. So a tonne of EAF dust will be 200kg Zinc metal and last nights spot price was US$1.30 per lb or about $2.80 per kg. So a tonne of EAF dust could generate $570 US
