Sounds like a good idea mal in addition to th web site they could also use the local pub to sell merchandise.
As an aside though I have recently bought 22 ct jewellery (bracelet) for my finacee at less than NZ $1000 an ounce from a pawn shop, there are some great bargains out there is you do some dd.
