I reckon this company is bloody good value at the moment and because of this I would not be at all surprised that some time in the not too distant future there will be a takeover bid for AFG. I did read something in last weekend's Financial Review that it was a sitting target and Macquarie Bank was mentioned. If you have any of these shares hang on to them, you won't be sorry, but this may take some time, so you have to be patient. I bought in when they were trying to takeover Qantas, so at that stage they were too high. I have been sitting on them ever since not prepared to take any losses. If I had the cash, I would buy some more. Good luck to all out there who own these shares.
