Compare NST to JB Hifi or any other large retail/whole or even real estate SP
They know where they need to dig for the next 5 years, they know how much it will cost to extract that gold and they can fwd sell and lock in a profit (risk free, digging and product already sold)
A downturn for most business' in Australia could see them go to the wall
They cannot guarantee delivery of stock (currently suplly of items woefully slow/stopped) and once they have the stock, they do not have guaranteed buyers
Would rather be a gold miner than most other business' in time of uncertainty
