Van eck maintains a junior gold miner index, with a listed etf (GDXJ) to match its performance.
like every other index it has a % allocation for each company included in it.
So for eg. if FML is 1% of GDXJ index
and ETF faces an increased fund flow, it has to buy more fml just to maintain that percentage allocation, reverse is true for outflows.
So though increased fund flow is a good sign in general, more impressive would be increase in FML's % allocation in that index.
