Was thinking the same myself sarge .

Are Van Eck known as deal makers ? In thought just astute investors , but you never know the motives till too late .

A couple of others substantials of interest are:

1. RRL - newmont have increased their stake to 20% ( bid on the way?)
2. AMX - Taurus at 12% in a short period of time (why so aggressive ?)

I think a round of take overs (larger deals) may be close in west Africa . And I don't think they will be friendly ones either !
