I have also thought about it.
My explanation is as stupid as it may sound......
If Van Eck started selling without notifying the market about their stuff up......ie GDX/GDXJ Reblanace circus, then the share price would have fallen even further. Because everyone would become suspicious and sell.
At least at the moment or for some time players involved know Van Eck has to sell indiscriminately ........regardless of a company fundamental.
Therefore....shark funds have front run the Van Eck selling....shorters have shorted with conviction....and perhaps some funds who were wishing to get a position are picking up bargains all around.
This recent downturn has been the longest I have known so far with no relief.....relentless selling day after day.....gold up.....sell sell sell....gold down...sell more.......mamma mia...
I never thought I will ever see BDR at .195
Now I know in the market, anything can happen.
