The Chinese standards came into force in November. The V price surged prior to this as consumers sought to secure supply.
All during this: the perma-bulls were pumping V purity and electrolyte; seemingly unawares or disinterested in the 90% market of V... steel. Meanwhile, high V price makes VRB's relatively expensive to other options.
Side note: V price is 30% off the highs. Why? I know...
