This presentation by AVL came out 6 days ago, and the section between 2.00 - 8.02 mins is worth listening to. It describes some commercial working using Vanadium compounds in both the anode and cathode electrodes for Lithium batteries, so yet another battery application for V, in addition to VRFBs. I quite like listening to this guy, the recently appointed CEO of AVL. But I've no intention of investing in AVL because their financial metrics (BFS) are awful (7.3 year project payback, pre-tax IRR ~ 20% at US$10.50/lb V2O5).
