They are not supposed to do that. It means that some shareholders get to learn this news before others, and could use it to their advantage. Note VR8's SP went up today too, by 8% without any ASX ann. I simply don't know what the company think they are playing at.

lol because maybe that's rhetorical next pending news? and they spoke a lot about the environment crap too which is also pending.... and today it went up in very low volume sooo it's really nothing, no leaky ship here at all!
